What is the difference between Dealer Consulting and Dealer Advisory?

Dealer Consulting / Interim Leadership is a short-term, high-intensity engagement. It’s used to stabilise performance, align leadership, or step in temporarily when a key management role becomes vacant.

Dealer Advisory is an ongoing, retained relationship focused on observation, insight, and guidance — without day-to-day involvement.

When would Interim Management be used?

Interim Management is typically used when a dealership loses a key manager through resignation, transition, or restructuring and needs experienced leadership cover while a permanent replacement is found.

The goal is continuity and stability, not long-term takeover.

Do you manage dealership staff or run daily operations?

Only in defined interim management scenarios, and only for a short, agreed period.

Outside of interim engagements, we do not manage staff or take over daily operations.

Where is OneDayCar based, and where do you operate?

OneDayCar is based in Paarl, Western Cape.

Most of our work is done remotely, which allows us to support dealerships and clients nationwide.

In certain consulting or interim leadership engagements, on-site involvement may be required.

Where travel or extended on-site presence is necessary, this may affect pricing and scope. Any such considerations are discussed and agreed upfront.

Do you implement systems, marketing, or CRM?

In some cases, better outcomes require better systems.

Where appropriate, we may introduce tools, platforms, or partners that support clarity, follow-up, or visibility. Implementation is handled separately and positioned as an enabler — not the solution itself.

Do you sell cars or act as a broker?

No. OneDayCar does not sell vehicles directly.

We focus on advice, insight, and introductions where appropriate.

Do you earn commission or referral fees?

In some cases, yes. When a successful introduction is made that benefits all parties, we may earn a referral fee. Advice and outcomes always come first.
